Below is important parking information for students returning early or from abroad from Winter Break.

RUSH Parking and Early Arrivals

Parking rules and regulations will be in effect during Winter Break.

Students may park on-campus in general lots only through Sunday, January 11, 2026. All vehicles must be in the correct parking locations by Monday, January 12, at 8:00 a.m.

  • Vehicles are required to be registered with the Transportation and Parking Office by Monday, January 12, at 8:00 a.m. Vehicle registration will be available on the WFU Parking Portal, beginning Monday, January 5, at 9:00 a.m.
  • All permits are virtual. You are no longer required to have a physical permit. For more information regarding virtual permits, please visit our License Plate Recognition website.
  • Students arriving early for Rush must park in General Lots Only, as faculty and staff will have returned to campus from break and will be utilizing the faculty/staff parking lots.
  • To unload a vehicle, you can park in parking lots nearest your dorm on campus long enough to unload. A time limit of 1 hour will be authorized to load/unload on January 2nd and 3rd. You must be actively unloading and parked in a legal parking space with flashers on. Once unloading is complete, vehicles must be relocated to a general lot. Please wait to unpack after relocating your vehicles so others have the opportunity to unload close to the buildings. Vehicles can stay in the general lots until Monday, January 12, at 8:00 a.m.
  • Parking in fire lanes, handicapped spaces, reserved spaces (Carpool, Service Vehicle Only), or parking in roadways is prohibited and will be enforced.

Shuttles

  • Shuttles will begin operating in the First Year Parking Lot lots on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. All shuttles will resume their regular routes on Monday, January 11, 2026.
