All vehicles with an off-campus permit (first year, sophomore, evening and Winston Salem First Church/Reynolda Village) can park on campus during spring break (Friday, March 7 @ 4:00 p.m. – Monday, March 17 @ 8:00 a.m.), but are required to park in general lots/spaces only and avoid faculty/staff/visitor lots and faculty/staff spaces.
Please avoid parking in Lot W1 over the break, as construction will be taking place in that area.
Loading/Packing Your Vehicle:
If driving home and you need to load your vehicle, please follow these directions:
- Pack items before bringing your vehicle on campus to load your vehicle.
- Park legally in a parking space and use your headlights and emergency flashers while loading your vehicle.
- A one-hour time limit is provided to load vehicles while on campus. Do not park in fire lanes, handicapped/reserved spaces, or exceed the one-hour limit, as vehicles are subject to receiving a citation or having the vehicle towed.
Resident Students:
- If you have an on-campus resident permit (RS) and will be leaving your vehicle during the break, you are required to park in general lots/spaces only.
Sophomore Students:
- If you have a parking permit for the sophomore parking lot vehicles can be parked on campus during spring break in general lots/spaces only. Sophomore students can begin relocating vehicles to campus after 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 7.
- If you are leaving for spring break before Friday, March 7, do not bring your vehicle on campus to park until you are physically leaving campus, park in general lots/spaces only and contact Transportation and Parking Services at parking@wfu.edu. Vehicles must be returned to the off-campus sophomore lot by Monday, March 17 @ 8:00 am.
- Shuttle service to the sophomore parking lot will continue to operate until Friday night/Saturday morning, March 7 at midnight.
- Shuttle service will resume to the sophomore lot on Sunday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m.
Freshman Students:
- Freshman students leaving their vehicles during spring break can relocate their vehicles from the Z5 student parking lot to campus and are required to park in general lots/spaces only. Vehicles can begin to be relocated to campus on Friday, March 7 after 4:00 p.m. Vehicles must be returned to the off-campus freshmen lot by Monday, March 17 @ 8:00 am.
- If you are leaving for spring break before Friday, March 7, do not bring your vehicle on campus to park until you are physically leaving campus, park in general lots/spaces only and contact Transportation and Parking Services at parking@wfu.edu.
- Shuttle service to/from the Z5 student parking lot and campus will operate on a regular schedule until Friday night/Saturday morning, March 7 at midnight. (Gray Line Night until midnight and on-call service until midnight)
- Shuttle service to/from campus and the Z5 student lot will resume on Sunday, March 16 at 3:00 p.m.
- Vehicles must be relocated back to the Z5 student lot by Monday, March 17 at 8:00 a.m.
Off-Campus Students:
- If you do not live in WFU off-campus housing and desire to leave your vehicle on campus during spring break, contact Transportation and Parking Services at parking@wfu.edu and only park in general parking lots/spaces.
- Beginning Friday, March 7 at 4:00 p.m., all commuter students (including students who ride the Gold and Black Lines) who have a vehicle registered or not registered with Transportation and Parking Services, that will be frequenting campus to work, study, etc., during spring break, can park their vehicle in general lots/spaces for spring break. Do not park in Faculty/Staff lots or spaces and visitor or reserved spaces. This on-campus parking exception will be valid from Friday, March 7 at 4:00 p.m. through Monday, March 17 at 8:00 a.m., at which time, vehicles must be parked in the correct parking location based on the permit type.
- The Black and Gold Lines will operate through Friday, March 7, and resume normal schedules on Monday, March 17. Students residing in apartment complexes that are served by the Gold and Black Line and need a ride to/from campus during the week of March 10-14 can call 336-283-1091 for a ride between 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. only.
