Any student who wishes to park a vehicle on a university parking lot any time of day or night–including after 4:00 p.m. weekdays, on weekends, during regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. weekdays, and during breaks– must register that vehicle with Transportation and Parking Services.

To register your vehicle, visit the WFU Parking Portal. This website is also a great place to find information about parking during certain events like Thanksgiving, Winter Break or Spring Break.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not create a guest account. In order to access the parking portal, you must specifically select your WFU Google account to login. Otherwise, you will not be able to access the portal. All other Google users must be logged completely out.


Sophomore Vehicle Registration & Permit Distribution Information

Sophomore student vehicle registration will begin Friday, August 4 at 9:00 a.m.

2023/2024 Sophomore Parking Permit Fee:

  • $345.00
    • Parking Location: Lot Z2 (Located off-campus across Polo Rd.)

Theme Housing 

  • Students parking at Theme houses must register their vehicles to park at these locations. Students living in theme housing must also inform the Transportation and Parking Services Office. Authorization will be added to your vehicle’s license plate on your parking account.
  • Sophomore students will only be issued permits based on their student classification and do not have an option for on-campus parking.
  • Sophomore permits are authorized to park on campus 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends. Parking is authorized in general and employee spaces/lots that are not reserved.

Special Notes:

  • Students that purchase a permit and will be going abroad in the spring, must return the permit by December 15 to receive a partial refund (1/2 the purchase price).
  • Students going abroad in the fall do not need to order a permit until January 2024.
  • Permits purchased in August are valid for the entire academic year. If a student’s classification changes mid-year from sophomore to junior due to credits earned, permits are not exchanged.

  • When:  August 25 – August 27
  • Pickup Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Where: LJVM Coliseum (2825 University Parkway)

Permits ordered after August 17, or you did not pick up permits on the above dates:

  • Pickup Time: Mon. – Thurs. 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Permits ordered after August 17, or you did not pick up permits on the above dates:

  • When:  Monday, August 28, and thereafter

Resident Student Vehicle Registration & Permit Distribution Information

Resident student vehicle registration will begin August 2, 2023, at 9:00 a.m

2023/2024 Resident Student Parking Permit Fee:

  •  $570 .00

Theme Housing 

  • Students residing in theme house are required to register their vehicle.
  • Purchase a resident permit ($570) to park at your theme house and allows regular on-campus parking between 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Underclassmen who are freshmen or sophomore students will only be issued permits based on the current student classification and will not have an on-campus permit option.
  • Resident permits require supplemental authorization, in addition to your parking permit, to park in the theme house parking lots. Authorization will be added to your vehicle’s license plate on your parking account. Students will need to let Transportation and Parking Services know you need this additional authorization.

Deacon Place Resident Vehicle Registration & Permit Distribution Information

Deacon Place registration will begin Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 9:00 a.m.

2023/2024 Deacon Place Parking Permit Information:

  • Fee – $570.00
    • The permit will allow you to park at Deacon Place behind the gates and on campus in all general lots except lot W1.  You will no longer need to purchase an additional resident permit.
      •  Restrictions allow parking only in General Lots on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Permits ordered on or before August 18: 

  • When:  August 25 – August 27
  • Pickup Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Commuter Student Vehicle Registration & Permit Distribution Information

Commuting student vehicle registration begins Thursday, August 3rd at 10:00 a.m.

If you sign on before 10:00 a.m., you will receive a message that “No Permits Available”.

2023/2024 Commuter Student Parking Options:

  • On-Campus Commuter Permit – $570
    • Limited availability sold on a first come, first serve basis. (See Waitlist Below)
    • First-year graduate students do not have the option for on-campus permits.
  • Off-Campus Commuter Permit- $345
    • Limited availability sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. (See Waitlist Below
    • First Assembly of God Church parking lots (Z3 and Z4) and designated area of Reynolda Village
    • If you have an off-campus permit, you do not need to purchase an evening permit as well.
    • We are excited to be offering express shuttle service this year from the off-campus parking lot (Z4) to the campus Shuttle Hub each weekday morning from 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Express shuttle will operate 4 times per hour.
  • Evening Only Commuter Permit- $85
    • Evening Only Permit to park on campus after 4:00 p.m. weekdays or all day on weekends
    • Please reference our parking map to find locations.
    • Wake Line Shuttle service is provided to the church and lots.

Waitlist Information:

  • Should on-campus commuter permits be sold out, you have the option to sign up on a waitlist for these permits. If space becomes available, additional permits may be offered to those on the waitlist, if your waitlist number is chosen.
  • Signing up on the waitlist does not guarantee receiving an on-campus parking permit. If on-campus permits are sold out, you should order either the Off-Campus permit to park in lots Z3 or Z4 or the Evening Only permit. Both permits allow you to park on-campus in general or “non-reserved” spaces or lots from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m., Monday- Friday, and all day on weekends. Parking on WFU property without displaying a valid permit (day or night) can result in citations.

Expect delays in distribution. Your Wake Forest ID is required to pick up your permit.

Place the parking permit on the rear of your vehicle immediately after picking it up. Permits must be displayed on vehicles no later than Wednesday, August 30.
