In preparation for Thanksgiving Break, Transportation & Parking Services would like to share the following information regarding lobby hours, shuttle service, and available parking.


Lobby & Office Hours

Wednesday, November 23rd

  • 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Thursday, November 24th – Sunday, November 27th

  • All services paused in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Shuttle Route Information

Thursday, November 24th (Thanksgiving Day)

  • Normal shuttle routes will be paused in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday

Friday, November 25th – Saturday, November 26th

  • On-Call Shuttle will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Call 336.283.1091 to request a ride.
    • This will service all of the apartment complexes along the Black, Gold, and Deacon Station Lines as well as Sherwood Plaza, and Target.

Sunday, November 27th

  • Services paused in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.
  • Normal On-Call Shuttle Service will resume at 7:00 p.m. to midnight

Parking Information

  • Commuting students that live off-campus and will be traveling for the holiday should leave vehicles parked at their apartments/houses. 
  • Resident upperclassmen that have registered vehicles and are not driving home for the break should leave their cars parked in general parking lots.
  • Sophomore students can relocate their vehicles to campus after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23rd, and park in general parking lots only. Shuttle service will stop operating at 9:00 p.m.!  If a vehicle needs to be relocated to campus prior to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, please contact the Transportation and Parking office at 336-758-PARK or parking@wfu.edu.
  • First Year students can relocate their vehicles to campus starting Wednesday, November 23rd, and park in lot J at 4:00 p.m. Shuttle service will stop operating at 9:00 p.m.! If a vehicle needs to be relocated to campus prior to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, please contact the Transportation and Parking office at 336-758-PARK or parking@wfu.edu.

To load and unload your vehicles to go home:

  • Pack your bags prior to moving your vehicle to campus. 
  • Park legally and turn on headlights and emergency flashers when loading.
  •  You will be given 30 minutes to load your vehicle. If there is no activity around the vehicle after 30 minutes, the vehicle is subject to being cited.

Students that are going to stay on campus or need to visit campus during the holiday should park in general lots and avoid parking illegally.

ALL VEHICLES WITH AN OFF-CAMPUS PERMIT MUST BE OFF CAMPUS BY MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28th, @ 8:00 a.m.!
